Dentures are removable, custom-made replacements for missing teeth. They are made of acrylic resin. Dentures restore functionality and confidence to patients whose natural teeth are missing or lost due to severe damage. They are very similar in appearance to natural teeth, comfortable, functional and can improve facial appearance.
Tooth loss may result from disease, gum disease, tooth decay, or traumatic injury. It is very important to replace missing teeth as it may cause ill effects like: shift in remaining teeth, an inability to bite and chew properly, as well as change in facial structure.
At National Dental Care, we understand that your smile is unique to you, so we work with our own laboratory to make custom-fit dentures of desired size, shape and color to each of our patient’s individual needs. Our specialist works with the laboratory technicians hand in hand to get the dentures as quicker as in 1 day
Complete denture: Complete denture are removable appliances which replace all the natural teeth in your entire upper/lower teeth arch (or both), together with its associated tissues. These dentures are prepared after all the teeth are removed and tissues have healed.
Bps denture: Biofunctional Prosthetic system (BPS) dentures are high quality dentures. These dentures meet the standards for aesthetics, comfort, fit and function as they are made of state-of-art equipment and the manner in which denture is processed contributes greatly to how well it fits and functions.
Removable partial denture: These dentures are made to replace 2 or more missing teeth, resting partly on the gums and partly on the remaining teeth. Removable partial dentures may be attached to your natural teeth with metal clasps called precision attachments.
Immediate dentures: An immediate denture is inserted immediately after the extraction of teeth and the tissues are allowed to heal under the denture. These dentures offer the benefit of never having to be without your teeth. The bone supporting the teeth reshapes as it heals, causing the denture to become loose, therefore these dentures must be relined after few months of being inserted.
Implant supported denture: The fit of dentures, no matter how well they are made, can be improved with the placement of 2 or more implants. Dentures are attached to dental implants in patients with very less bone support which provides greater stabilization during chewing and speaking.
Dentures start wearing after a course of time and need to be replaced/relined in order to keep the alignment normal. The fit of the denture will slowly change as the bone and gum ridges recede or shrink. Regular dental examinations are important for the denture wearer so that the oral tissues can be checked for any change.
